About the Role

Educo is growing and in need of an Associate Advisor that can grow into a licensed CFP and lead advisor. This role will work alongside the lead advisor in educating, communicating and guiding clients toward the right financial solutions for them.

A Day in the Life of an Associate Advisor

As an Associate Advisor, you meet and work with diverse clients alongside the lead advisor. Your focus will be to learn how to engage with clients, assist and manage the process, and conduct ongoing research to stay current with trends that can impact client investments. Managing the process will entail creating client meeting agendas, gathering necessary paperwork, taking notes to update the client profile within the database and any follow up communication. There will be dedicated time to training and development, toward desired licenses and certifications.

Educate
- Performing market research to stay current with financial trends.
- Develop client meeting agendas, customizing to the client to learn about their needs and goals.
- Sit as “second chair” at all client meetings, to help determine their financial objectives by conducting a thorough intake assessment of their         professional and personal goals.
- Cultivate a robust client profile, documenting focus, key outcomes, and next steps.
- Develop a learning mindset, dedicate time to own learning and development, working toward proper licensing and CFP designations.
- Engage with clients to answer questions, provide guidance and direction for all their investment needs.
- Work alongside lead advisor to learn ways to engage clients through their initial meeting, developing their financial plans and execution of their strategy.
Communicate
- Excellent ability in communicating with diverse clients’ groups, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Execute timely follow up work, appropriate and necessary, for each client meetings
- Prepare and set expectations with clients for their annual advisory review materials 
- Develop new relationships with own client portfolio after appropriate training and certifications have been completed.
- Help advance and develop clients with smaller portfolios with additional opportunities. 
- Networking events to identify and pursue potential clients to maintain a strong client base.
Business Operations
- Execute trades and transactions in the routine servicing of clients.
- Maintaining compliance with all rules and regulations in the financial industry.
- Build and maintain client profiles within CRM system.
- Prepare & develop financial plans and check their accuracy.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of industry experience preferred (can be investments/banking/insurance/etc.)
- Securities/Insurance/Investment licenses, certifications & certificates a major plus
- Life/Health/Accident Insurance License (condition of employment if hired)
- Series 7 & 66 Securities License(s) (condition of employment if hired)
- Strong understanding of retirement planning/insurance/investment space a plus
- Proficiency with Word, spreadsheets, database, and financial planning software
- Effective sales, presentation, and client service skills
